CIAL envisages constituting a world class shopping area with reputed brands for operating retail outlets in and around the airport terminals. The company is looking for a long-term partnership to be put in place, which enables optimum investment decisions and encourage fuller exploitation of the airport’s retail potential. This is the best initiative for an effort to convert a passenger into a travelling consumer by providing him with an international retail experience.

 

CIAL intends to tender out following Retail spaces;

(a) 3 Retail space in the canopy area measuring 10 Sqm each.

(b) 3 Retail spaces in the International General Concourse area measuring 14 Sqm each.

(c) 1 Retail space in front of International arrival measuring between 50 -75Sqm for operating Duty paid shop

 

In International departure general concourse, the minimum licensee fee fixed is Rs 38500/-. The bidder needs to quote a figure equivalent or higher than Rs 38500/- to qualify for the bid.

 

In Canopy area the minimum licensee fee fixed is Rs 15000/-. The bidder needs to quote a figure equivalent or higher than Rs 15000/- to Qualify for the bid.

 

For Duty paid shop the minimum license fee fixed will be Rs 1300/- per meter square. The bidder needs to quote a figure equivalent or higher than Rs 1300/- per meter square to qualify for the bid. The bidder will have option of choosing his desired area ranging from 50 to 70 Sqm. The bidder who proposes the highest per square meter license fee will be offered the license to operate the duty paid shop.

 

The tender document will be issued on payment of Rs 2081/-(non refundable) by Cash/ demand draft favoring Cochin international Airport Ltd, Payable at Ernakulam on any working day between 9.30 hours to 16.00 hours (IST) up to 12th August 2010 from the commercial department of Cochin International Airport Ltd.

 

Tender may be submitted by the Bidder, provided the Bidder has:

(a) Bonafide retail business experience of not less than 1 year till date, in carrying on retail business activity in respective categories.

The criteria set forth above shall be referred to as Eligibility Criteria for operating all the shops  

 

 

The Successful Licensee shall deposit with CIAL an Interest free refundable security (IFSD) deposit which will be equivalent to 10 months minimum guaranteed monthly royalty/licensee fee offered to CIAL within 20 days of provisional allotment

 

The Bidders may submit Tender for one, or more Location(s) / category(s) as the case may be. While bidding for a category, the Bidders shall submit a separate bid for each of the individual category. It is clarified that a Bidder shall not be permitted to submit more than one bid for any one category.

 

A Proposal shall be basically a two bid system comprising the following:

(a)     The Technical bid in the form and manner as set out under Annexure I 

(b)     The Financial bid in the form and manner as set out under Annexure II

(c)     Letter of Undertaking to be submitted in the format set out under Annexure III

The Technical bid shall consist of the following information in the form and manner as set out under

(a)General Information regarding the product category including operational experience

(b)Brief Profile of the company

(c)Copy Certificate of Incorporation/Partnership deed

(d) Audited balance sheet for the last financial year

(e) Copy of PAN/TIN

(f)All pages of this tender document duly signed & sealed

(g) Letter of Undertaking

(h)EMD of Rs 1 Lakh per category

             Only Financial Bids of the technically qualified parties will be opened

The Tender must be submitted at CIAL, addressing to The Managing Director, Cochin International Airport Limited, Kochi Airport PO, Ernakulam, Kerala State, not later than 1200 hours IST of August 13^th, 2010 (the Bid Close Time as set out under the Tender Process). The tender document shall be duly signed and stamped. All amounts shall be clearly showed in figures and words. All pages, which form part of the tender document, shall be initialed and bear stamp of the Bidder.
